Welcome to [Unlikely Speeches] -- it's a working title.

You know that saying, "the most inspirational things in life come from the most unlikely of places?" That's largely bullshit. My immigrant parents, President Obama, brilliant college professors, financially disadvantaged friends who worked for success: these are the most inspirational sources in my life.

I say largely, though, because there are occasionally things will fall through the cracks. I'm talking about the conversations, witty turns of phrases, comebacks, arguments, freestyles, musical lyrics, literary passages, words words words. There is some funny shit out there in the world.

That's what this blog is about. Getting inspiration through unlikely speeches from unlikely people in, yes, the most unlikely of places. If you have speeches or words to post, please do. It's a rhetorical democracy, and we're launch to start a revolution of prose.
